Day 1:
Fill Up at FreshStop Airport City and head towards Somerset West/Strand on the N2. FreshStop Strand is another great stop to check out for your next leg of the journey. Another pitstop for some water at FreshStop 87 on Victoria in Somerset West, or if you head through Strand then make a coffee stop at FreshStop Greenways or FreshStop Careno before you head over Sir Lowry’s pass.
Day 2: Caledon (One Night Stay in a farm cottage)
Over Sir Lowry’s Pass and on to Caledon, where you can enjoy some farm areas, Caledon Natural Spring baths and of course make a pitstop at FreshStop Diner at Caltex Caledon – with an array of delish foods from healthy freshly squeezed juices, healthier option snacks, to homemade pies, Crispy Chicken, Doughnut Delite,  Grill & Go and much more! The kids can enjoy some frozen yoghurt too. Stay a night because it’s time to enjoy the Caledon Natural Mineral Baths! A beautiful experience and a great way to relax and replenish. The hot spring originates by the emergence of geothermally heated groundwater that rises from the Earth’s crust. Perhaps you’d also like to pop into the Caledon Spa?
Day 3: Mossel Bay & George
Time for some Seattle Coffee Company, a refuel and a yummy breakfast at the FreshStop Diner. Get some nutrients with a freshly squeezed juice or smoothie at the FreshStop Diner, stock up on some snacks and then it’s time to set off to Mossel Bay and George.
Day 4: Mossel Bay
A beautiful drive through the farm areas and the first nights stay in the lovely Mossel Bay. Ready for some fun activities? Go on an incredible game drive at the Game Reserve where there are also some fun kids activities. Another night stay in George where you can make a pitstop. Carmel Guest Farm is recommended if you have kids. And other activities include the botanical gardens and the ‘Map of Africa’ lookout point plus the neighbouring Wilderness area with its beaches, Kaaimans River for kayaking and abseiling, incredible Wilderness hikes and much more. You could also pop into the Sedgefield Wild Oats Market.Â
Day 5-7: Knysna & Plett
Take a day to visit the glorious Knysna, where you’ll also want to stay over for the night. Then you can refuel in Knysna at FreshStop Quays (outdoor seated section, a Seattle Coffe Co and a spectacular view over the Knysna Lagoon.) or FreshStop Van Halderens before you head to Plett.  Whilst in Knysna, don’t forget to take a boat cruise to the Knysna Heads and visit the market on the main Road. The squad (The Travel Manuel & FS Goodness Gang) got to experience Monkey land – what a great activity if you’re in the area!
Day 8: Jbay
A great time to be in Jeffrey’s Bay is during Winter, for the Jbay #WinterFest, previously known as the Billabong Pro – an awesome surfing competition. The Travel Manuel stayed right on the beach in a beach house called Kabeljous. After enjoying some beach walks, sunshine and surf it’s time to set off to Port Alfred!
Day 9: Port Alfred
Next stop is a delicious Seattle Coffee Company night cap at the lovely FreshStop Port Alfred. The Travel Manuel enjoyed some wholesome snacks on the Kowie River and morning walks along Kelly Beach.
Day 10-12: East London
The final stretch of our trip, heading from Port Alfred to East London. The Travel Manuel and #FSGoodnessGang enjoyed the farm life at Santa Paloma Guest Farm. There’s a pool for summer and a fireplace in the guest lounge for winter. Kids and adults will truly be in their element here. A game reserve and farm not far from the centre city of East London. Plus there are a few FreshStop at Caltex stores where you can refuel, grab some fresh snacks or last minute veggies to cook for those in self-catering units and for your coffee fix!
