Situated in the busy heart of De Waterkant in Cape Town, FreshStop at Caltex Green Point has been redeveloped and now boasts a state-of-the-art Caltex fuel forecourt and a modern FreshStop store with Barista-service Seattle Coffee bar. Situated at 5 Somerset Road in Green Point, FreshStop at Caltex Green Point opened its doors on 5 November 2020 with a fresh new offering.
The fuel forecourt gives drivers two islands that serve Diesel and Unleaded fuel as well as a new tyre air pressure machine and oil separator – all under a brand-new Caltex canopy.
On the retail side, FreshStop Green Point offers customers a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, a range of grocery items, and a fully-stocked Grab and Go section with snacks such as fresh sandwiches, pies, wraps, salads and a wide range of refreshments. Need that morning caffeine fix? Stop by and pick up your made to order Seattle Coffee beverage and then choose to either take a break in the seating area with free Wi-Fi or hit the road with a spring in your step. An on-site ATM and the sale of gas bottles will bring additional convenience.
Brent Herbert, the Store Retailer who bought the site five years ago, has many years’ experience in the business world as a serial entrepreneur. “It’s been a lot of work but we are extremely excited to show locals and commuters our new offering, which includes great food and coffee. We are also proud of the fact that we’ve been able to create five new jobs and retain all current staff through this challenging COVID-19 period. We have a great team with which to take the business forward,” says Brent.
