FreshStop, the fastest growing 24-hour convenience store retail brand in South Africa, opened its 233rd national store on Thursday, 22 September 2016 at Mlangeni Street, Jabavu in Soweto. Previously a Star Mart, FreshStop at Caltex Jabavu Service Station has been completely refurbished and its fuel forecourt now features the latest 20/20 Caltex imagery. “The forecourt h as been upgraded with a new canopy, lighting and branding as well as new forecourt quad pumps and lines. The entire layout of the forecourt showcases the latest Caltex branding and what is very exciting is that this site is also located near a number of Heritage sites in the area, which is a plus for us, and that means convenience for our dear tourists,” says Xolani Lamani, the Store Retailer.
The FreshStop store offers local residents, commuters and tourists in the area a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, an assortment of grocery items, a wide selection of Grab n Go snacks, a variety of food platters and a full bakery, which is the first in the area. A self-service Lavazza coffee machine is also available to cater to the refined caffeine needs of customers. A wide variety of takeaway options are available to customers 24-hours a day. The site also offers on-site Standard Bank and ABSA ATMs for additional customer convenience.

We have meal solutions and our full range bakery features fresh bread, bread rolls and cakes for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings and baby showers. Xolani Lamani has a degree in retail and his 15 years experience in the fuel and retail industry brings out his passion and commitment to catering for the product and service needs of the people in his local community. “I have acquired a lot of experience in the past with Pick n Pay and other retail outlets and I am not new to the FreshStop brand as I am an existing FreshStop franchisee at Star Circle in Honeydew.
