Previously an unbranded store, the new FreshStop at Caltex Alice Street store, located at 32 Alice Street in Durban, opened its doors on Thursday, 26 January 2017. The store has been renovated and upgraded into a beautiful new FreshStop store. “The store is located on the main road in to Durban’s CBD/Beach and it’s the only service station on this route and the 1st convenience retail offering in this area in its 30-year history,” explains Raaj.
As the fastest growing convenience retail brand in South Africa, FreshStop Alice Street is the 247th store in the national network and the 55th store to open in the KwaZulu-Natal region. It offers customers a wide range of fruit and vegetables, a selection of grocery items, as well as Grab n Go snacks such as freshly-made sandwiches, pies and refreshments. A hot food offering is available in-store, serving the best chicken and chips in the area, and the self-service Lavazza coffee with fresh milk is sure to be a winner.

With his experience and expertise, he introduced a strong convenience offering to the community of Clare Estate, and his passion for his community continues to inspire him to do more to positively affect the people around him. “I truly believe in empowering people and making my local community a better place for everyone.
