FreshStop at Caltex Continental opened its doors to the public on Thursday, 30 November 2017 at 281 Koeberg Road in Brooklyn, Cape Town. Previously an unbranded store, the new upgraded and fully-modernised FreshStop store is the 267th store in the national FreshStop network and will offer customers a much-improve
d product offering with great service.
According to Dries Lubbe, the Store Retailer, “Our new store is a big improvement upon the old store. There’s a lot of new equipment and additional product ranges that will truly wow our clients; and our Caltex fuel forecourt will be upgraded in due course”. Dries has been in the motor and fuel retail industries for many years and brings with him an innate knowledge that will ensure the success of this family-owned business.
FreshStop Continental offers customers a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a selection of grocery items and a Grab n Go section for fresh sandwiches, freshly-baked pies and muffins, salads, smoothies and snacks. In addition, the store has semi-self service Lavazza coffee and a Standard Bank ATM will be available soon. Extra services provided to customers include Aramex, Pargo, airtime, electricity, and Glocell top-up cellular vouchers.
The growth of this FreshStop at Caltex site has enabled it to create employment for a total of 16 people from the area, including the local informal settlements.
“The store has the potential to do very well where it is situated due to peak traffic on this busy road in Cape Town; and we will be using the fact that we are the only FreshStop store in the vicinity to our advantage,” adds Dries.
We wish Dries, his family and their team all the best for the opening of this 267th FreshStop at Caltex Continental store.
FreshStop, named International Convenience Retailer of the Year 2013 and finalist of the 2017 International Convenience Retailer of the Year Award, is South Africa’s fastest growing 24-hour convenience store brand and has a network of 267 stores countrywide.
