Mark and George Vienings, two brothers born and bred in Standerton, opened the 266th FreshStop store in the country at 7 Beyers Naude Street in Standerton on Thursday, 23 November. “We are very excited! This store is going to be unique in our town – there will be no place like it”, says Mark Vienings, Store Retailer.

Previously an unbranded store, the completely renovated and upgraded FreshStop store has great presence on the fuel forecourt, which was recently upgraded in September with the new 20/20 Caltex imagery. According to Mark this is their first foray into the world of fuel retail, “We are a family business, run by myself and my brother George. For the past 10 years we have owned Mr. Video stores and thought it was time to try something new and exciting. As we are a smaller fuel retail operation, compared to others, we are doing our utmost to deliver excellent service to our amazing and loyal customers, old and new alike”.

FreshStop at Caltex Park Motors Standerton offers customers a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a selection of grocery items and a Grab n Go section for fresh sandwiches, pies, salads, smoothies and snacks. In addition, the store has opened the 1st Seattle Coffee bar in the area, which will be complemented by a Doughnut Delight outlet and a Pitstop Café, offering a selection of hot foods. Additional services on-site include a Capitec ATM and a car wash.

The FreshStop at Caltex store upgrade has created additional employment for eight local residents and the site employs a total of 29 full-time employees and casual staff when the need arises.

“We believe that the store will be a real draw card for local residents and business people as we’ll be offering them the best coffee and a great food offering. Being open 24-hours a day and within walking distance to many residential buildings, we aim to be the best convenience retail choice around”, adds Mark.

We wish Mark, George and their team all the best for the opening of this 266th FreshStop at Caltex Park Motors Standerton store.

FreshStop, named International Convenience Retailer of the Year 2013 and finalist of the 2017 International Convenience Retailer of the Year Award, is South Africa’s fastest growing 24-hour convenience store brand and has a network of 266 stores countrywide.
