FreshStop’s sponsorship of Survivor South Africa that kicked off on 3 June was a great success! Survivor SA is an international hit and runaway success for M-Net and for the first time in the history of the show, it was produced at a local destination – the Eastern Cape’s Wild Coast.
With over 500,000 viewers watching the show on M-Net 101 and the DSTV app, FreshStop’s sponsorship resulted in a huge amount of brand exposure reiterating our on-the-go 24/7 convenience offering. Over 16 weeks, we aired 32 TV adverts that increased foot traffic to stores and boosted sales.
FreshStop joined Survivor SA as its food sponsor, which included a FreshStop pop-up show being featured on-air at which winning contestants could reward themselves with FreshStop tasty treats such as doughnuts, smoothies, and Crispy Chicken. This was talked about for weeks afterwards! And FreshStop also fed the crew.
Our Social Media platforms reiterated our messaging, especially Twitter where we engaged with fans and contestants of the show. In-store, point-of-sale areas promoted the Survivor theme and many of our stores went out of their way to promote Survivor SA in-store and create magnificent Survivor SA promotional displays.
