FreshStop, the largest and fastest-growing convenience retail brand in South Africa, opened its 317th store at 142 Voortrekker Road in Parow on 5 December 2019.
FreshStop at Caltex Parow Service Station boasts a brand new FreshStop store as well as a completely upgraded Caltex fuel forecourt. Aleem Ali, the Store Retailer, has 30 years’ experience in the fuel retail industry and has long-standing relationships with the business community of Parow.
FreshStop Parow store offers customers in this busy hub a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a variety of grocery items, and a Grab n Go section with a wide selection of snacks and refreshments such as fresh sandwiches, pies, and wraps; and the Pitstop Café offers hot takeaway meals for the whole family. In-store there is a Crispy Chicken outlet, a sit-down eating area, fresh doughnuts made on the premises as well as a full House of Coffees bar with Barista service. In the coming weeks, a car wash and ATM will be introduced.
The new site has also created employment for an additional 23 staff with half of them coming from the local community. According to Aleem Ali, they are now able to offer the community a larger and wider range of products and services. “I feel really excited to be able to show the community the new face of FreshStop, offer them something new, and be involved in the upliftment of the area.
“It is the first FreshStop in the area with a sit-down eating area and as we’re open 24-hours, we’re able to accommodate the late party people who need a bite to eat on their way home as well as benefit the local law enforcement agencies. Residents at the newly-built student accommodation will also benefit from our specials on meals,” adds Aleem.
