FreshStop at Caltex Cleveland store opens in Johannesburg despite lockdown

On 28 May 2020, the brand new FreshStop at Caltex Cleveland store opened at 21 Cleveland Road in Johannesburg. The previous site has been completely knocked down and rebuilt and the fuel forecourt now boasts brand new Caltex 20/20 imagery.

This family business, owned by Yusif  and Zahir Desai, a father and son team, offers its customers a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a selection of grocery items and On the Go snacks and refreshments. In addition, there is a Grill to Go outlet, a Pitstop Café with a full kitchen and a House of Coffees self-service coffee station for that much-needed caffeine fix.

According to Zahir, “We are very proud to offer our customers a new, clean and safe garage station that offers 24-hour security on site and great hot food options. It has also been amazing to be able to create 11 new jobs for people from the local community with the opening of this site.

“We are very excited about the opening and despite having opened during the CODID-19 lockdown, we look forward to the challenge of getting the site up and running and an essential part of our customers’ lives”.

We wish Zahir, Yusif and their team all the best for the opening of this 324th FreshStop at Caltex Cleveland store.

FreshStop, named International Convenience Retailer of the Year 2013 and finalist of the 2017 International Convenience Retailer of the Year Award, is South Africa’s largest and fastest growing 24-hour convenience store retail brand, having opened 324 stores countrywide.
