The brand new FreshStop at Caltex Blue Lagoon site opened at 80 Athlone Drive in Stamford Hill in Durban North on 7 November 2019. Previously an Engen site, the new Caltex forecourt offers the latest in pump and fuel technologies and the FreshStop is a haven of respected food brands.
In addition to the expected FreshStop offering of fresh fruit and vegetables, a variety of grocery items, and a Grab n Go section with pies, sandwiches and refreshments, the site also offers a Steers, Fishaways and a full Seattle Coffee bar with Barista service.
According to Oilgro, a petroleum industry business with more than 25 years’ experience that owns the site, they are very excited about the opening. “Our FreshStop at Caltex offering along with the Steers, Fishaways and Seattle Coffee products make for a unique offering in this area. It is also a landmark site and we’ve been able to create a one-stop destination for everything the customer needs,” says Dean Pretorius, CEO of the Oilgro Group. In addition to the innovative food options, they have also been able to create jobs for more than 40 staff members through the rejuvenation of this site.
