Younus Cassim, Store Retailer of the ‘spanking new’ FreshStop at Caltex store in Glenwood, says he and his family are very excited about the opening and proud to bring such a super brand to the area. Younus has been operating the site for the past three years and has years of experience in the retail trade sector. As he puts it, “I moved from selling fabric by the metre to selling fuel by the litre”. The business is family-owned and Younus has been active in the community through forums such as the Bulwer Community Improvement Precinct and the Umbilo Business Forum.
FreshStop at Caltex Bulwer Park, the 312th FreshStop store in the national network, opened its doors on 31 October 2019 at 159 Bulwer Road in Glenwood, Durban. The store offers customers a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a variety of grocery items, and a Grab n Go section with pies, sandwiches and refreshments. In addition, there is an in-store Grill to Go outlet, a Seattle Coffee bar with Barista service as well as an ATM and car wash service on-site. The team also offers a catering service for businesses in the area and they can be reached on 031 201 2923.
The renovation of the site has resulted in 14 additional jobs being created for people from the local community. “We are proud to bring this attractive, clean and spacious store to our community, which offers a comprehensive range of products and services that we know our customers will enjoy,” adds Younus.
