Located in the bustling hub of Witbank at 1 Voortrekker Street in the Emhlahleni municipality, FreshStop at Caltex Auto Star opened its doors on 29 October 2020. Previously an unbranded store, the site has been redeveloped and now boasts a brand new FreshStop store featuring a range of exciting food outlets. Apart from the House of Coffees self-service station, there are Crispy Chicken and Grill to Go outlets as well as a selection of hot food takeaways available at the Pitstop Café in-store.
“We are very excited to service this industrial area and offer new products to our existing shoppers but, at the same time, attract new customers. We know that workers, taxi-commuters and the small local residential community will love our new food offerings,” says Etienne Deysel, Branch Manager at FreshStop Auto Star, which is owned by The Fuel Company.
With more than 10 years’ experience in management and hospitality, Deysel is confident that their new food outlets are going to be a hit. In addition to FreshStop Auto Star’s new fast-food options, the store also sells a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a selection of grocery items and many convenient, on-the-go snacks and refreshments. “This will be the ideal spot for locals to stop at, fill up their vehicles and stock up on their daily consumables, while grabbing some lunch or dinner. It is, literally, a one-stop shop,” adds Deysel. The additional food outlets and upgraded site has also created employment for 28 people from the local community.
