On 31 May 2018, FreshStop at Caltex Summerfield in Jukskei Park officially reopened offering shoppers an even bigger variety of convenience foods and fresh goods. Situated on the corner of Robyn and Platina Streets in Jukskei Park, the store initially opened as a Star Mart and in February 2013, after 12 years of trading, it converted to the FreshStop brand.
The refreshed FreshStop store provides shoppers with an even bigger range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a selection of grocery items and a Grab n Go section for fresh sandwiches, freshly-baked pies and muffins. In addition, the store has a full Seattle Coffee bar with Barista service and a newly added Hot Dog Bar outlet.
According to Store Retailer, Craig Fitt, “We wanted to improve our already solid offering by providing our customers with even more. We looked at the market and what would suit it best and the extensio
n of our bakery, fruit and vegetable section and the addition of the Hot Dog Bar seemed the perfect fit”.
The improvements don’t stop there however. The fuel forecourt has also undergone a refresh with the paving being replaced by asphalt, the creation of additional parking, new fuel dispensers and the latest 20/20 Caltex imagery. There are also plans to add an ABSA ATM and a car wash to the site in the near future.
Being the only convenience store in the area, a bigger store with a wider variety of goods has been warmly received and store refresh has been welcomed by the local community. As Craig says, “Our customers love the difference the refresh has made to the store. We were a local favourite already so the changes have only added to our popularity.”
