FreshStop, the fastest growing 24-hour convenience store retail brand in South Africa, opened its 246th national store on Thursday, 1 December 2016 at La Roche Drive in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.
FreshStop at Caltex La Roche has been completely renovated and its fuel forecourt now features the latest 20/20 Caltex imagery. “Our store was previously a Star Mart and now we are proud to inform our customers that we have successfully converted to the FreshStop brand with a complete upgrade. The fuel forecourt has also undergone a comprehensive renovation with new pumps, tanks and the entire site has a new fresh look. We are very positive about our moving forward with the FreshStop brand and we are proud to provide our customers with fresh and affordable products alongside a convenient environment for their shopping comfort,” says Anton Kilian, the Store Retailer.
The store offers customers a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a variety of grocery items, and a selection of Grab n Go snacks, cool drinks and baked goods such as muffins, cakes and savouries. A self-service Lavazza coffee machine and Nescafe option are available to satisfy the caffeine needs of customers as they pop by for a snack or a respite from the road. At FreshStop at Caltex La Roche, you will also find an on-site Standard Bank ATM and a car wash for additional customer convenience.
“We are very excited about this opening and we will strive to consistently have fresh fruit and vegetables and all the other grocery and food items available, as we know it’s not always easy for our customers to find the daily essentials they need locally. We are excited to be able to offer a much needed service to our community any time of the day. This will be their one-stop shop, especially during the holiday season. For that bit of extra service, we also offer the Aramex store-to-door courier service on-site,” explains Anton.
Anton and Amanda Kilian are the Store Retailers and they’ve been in retail since 2000. Anton, previously an Advocate, and Amanda, a Social Worker, have gained much experience and expertise in the fuel and retail industry over the years. In their spare time, Anton loves writing and painting, while Amanda loves decorating and catering, which is reflected in the final look and feel of the store. “We are extremely happy and delighted to be associated with the FreshStop brand and we are also looking forward to being of service to this community and our highly esteemed customers in general,” says Anton.
