As the largest and fastest growing convenience store retail brand in South Africa, FreshStop opened its 264th store on the corner of Howard Avenue and Tom Jones Street in Benoni on Thursday, 9 November. The entire site has been completely revamped and upgraded and boasts a completely new FreshStop store and the fuel forecourt has been fitted with new tanks, lines and pumps with the full range of fuel products available at each island.

Ross MacGregor, the Store Retailer, owns several other Caltex service stations on the West Rand. “This is our first fuel retail site in the East Rand and we are very proud of the fact that it is a 51% black-owned partnership that will be employing 25 people to service this awesome community. Apart from the jobs, we will also be providing a quality offering to the local community, something which we feel has been lacking in the area”, says Ross.

FreshStop at Caltex Tom Jones’24-hour a day quality offering will include a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a selection of grocery items and a full Grab n Go section for fresh sandwiches, pies, salads, smoothies and snacks. In addition, the store has opened a Seattle Coffee bar with barista service, which is complemented by a Doughnut Delight outlet. For extra convenience, a Standard Bank ATM is located on-site.

“We are very excited to bring a modern, well-run fuel retail and convenience store experience to the area,” adds Ross.

We wish Ross and his team all the best for the opening of this 264th FreshStop at Caltex Tom Jones store.

FreshStop, named International Convenience Retailer of the Year 2013 and finalist of the 2017 International Convenience Retailer of the Year Award, is South Africa’s fastest growing 24-hour convenience store brand and has a network of 264 stores countrywide.
